The Energy Efficiency section of this website gives wide-ranging suggestions on improving the energy efficiency of your home. But regardless of how efficient your home is, the harsh Manitoba climate will still require use of heating. And assuming that’s done traditionally – typically a natural gas furnace – that means greenhouse gas emissions.

But there is a further solution. And that is to introduce an alternative energy source for heating your home – one that comes with fewer or no greenhouse gas emissions attached to it.
